The most common disease that people are suffering from is GERD, or you can call it Gastroesophageal reflux disease. People who suffer from this disease show very prominent symptoms. While some might mistake it with a heart attack, due to the excessive pain in the chest. Most cases of heart attack are usually people suffering from gastric issues.
The symptoms of GERD are usually a pain in the chest, vomiting, bad breath, problem while breathing, problem while swallowing. These are the most common symptoms that people can face. One thing that you should know is this is a long term disease so all you can do is change your lifestyle and take some medications like antacids to reduce the chance of acid reflux.
Although taking excessive medication can be dangerous as well. Most of the medication has some sort of side effects that can be harmful to your health. So it’s better that you bring some changes in your current lifestyle. The tips that I am going to mention here are from my personal experience. Only a person who suffered from such disease can understand what people go through during the acid reflux attack. The following are some of the remedies that I try and recommend to others so that they can prevent this from happening.

DIET:
This is the most important factor that can cure GERD. Like I mentioned before that it is a long term disease so it will take time, but you will be able to prevent GERD by following a good and healthy diet. Foods that are anti-oxidants can neutralize the acid in your stomach.
Similarly, foods like bone broth, fresh fruits, non-starchy vegetables, and water can help in reducing the inflammation of your body and stomach acid. Fruits like banana or apple can be very helpful in reducing the chances of acid reflux at night. Also following any healthy diet whether it is keto or the paleo is best for you.
EXERCISE:
A good diet and proper exercise are what you need to prevent GERD. Daily exercise is very helpful in keeping your body in motion. Sitting idle and working all day can also make your digestive tract to act abnormally. This can lead to acid reflux. Eating and sitting in one position may push the stomach acids upwards.
This is the reason why most people suffer from acid reflux at night when we are laying down. So all you have to do is wake up early and try to go for a walk or jog. After that, you can meditate and do other work.
PROPER SLEEP:
Proper sleep is very important if you want to treat acid reflux. Bad patterns of sleep can build up toxins in your body that can also affect your stomach acid. Such issues can lead to various other problems like stomach ulcers. In order to prevent GERD, don’t eat anything before your sleep. It is more preferable if you don’t eat anything during the last 4 hours of the day.
Sleeping early and then waking up early can bring a great change in your lifestyle. Taking vitamins and oxygen while going out is good for your health. So let me remind you again that don’t eat anything during the last 3-4 hours of the day.
PRECAUTION:
There are certain precautionary measures that you should take in order to avoid any further damage to your gut or stomach. Some foods might trigger acid reflux and you should avoid them. Foods that contain spice and oil should be avoided at night.
Similarly, veggies like tomatoes can also trigger the acid in the stomach. If you have a sweet tooth for candies or chocolate then try to avoid them at night as well. These are some of the food items that can trigger acid reflux.
