Many tourists go to the crowded points of interest to catch a glimpse of some great sights, don’t get me wrong, these can be the highlight of the trip. However there are some hidden gems of Phuket with amazing views that you can even live in. Phuket villas are an amazing opportunity to stay in a luxury villa, wake up to a breathtaking view, enjoy breakfast at your private pool and wind down in the evening with the family over a meal cooked by your personal chef. During the day a short outing to some of the following viewpoints will well round out your Thailand experience.

Kata Karon Viewpoint
As one of the best-known viewpoints in Phuket it is also easily missed as it is located on the road leading from Kata Beach to Nai Harn Beach. The name translates to Hill of Three Beaches this means that on this pinnacle one can see the three beaches, Kata Noi Beach, Kata Beach and Karon Beach. It is quite a spectacular view as you survey down the coast. Roughly about ten minutes by car from Kata Beach you can easily reach the viewpoint by scooter as well. This one is not the main spot on your tour but definitely worth a stop as it is never crowded, has free parking, and a gorgeous observation deck. After you leave the viewpoint, be sure to watch the sun set on Kata Noi Beach.
Promthep Cape Viewpoint
The Promthep Cape or Laem Promthep in Thai can be found at the southernmost tip of Phuket. Another perfect spot to watch the sunset because of its nearly two hundred metre elevation from the sea and incredible views over all of creation. This spot is also a great place to have a snack and try some of the local tourist roadside treats. Don’t expect authentic homemade cuisine but the experience of a hotdog in Times Square is nonetheless a great experience. Much like Times Square, Promthep gets quite crowded during peak tourist season with crowds coming for the spectacular sunset nightly. Possibly the best part of this destination is the lighthouse and museum located inside. It once served as a beacon of hope for sailors navigating the rough waters.
Khao Rang Hill Viewpoint
Khao Rang Hill has been called the city’s viewpoint because of its very centrally located location in Phuket Town. Many Phuket residents visit to walk, exercise and play sports, as it is not only a viewpoint but a social centre, meeting point and a city park. At one hundred and forty metres above the sea, it stands as the second highest hill in the city. Come visit to take in the breathtaking panoramic views of Phuket City. On a clear day even the islands and the entire port is visible from this spot. Like anywhere in Thailand, if you’re hungry there are local stands selling snacks as well as restaurants with amazing dining views. If you have some extra time and energy not far from here is Monkey Mountain that has a platform overlooking the city. This spot is a bit more off the beaten track and could be quieter. Be careful though, here there be monkeys that love to grab a mobile or sunglasses, never to be seen again.
